› Kajira – the ultimate female submissiveness

May 03, 2007
kajiraGorean slave women are called "kajira" or "sa'fora" (daughter of the chain). These are mainly women, who according to Gorean philosophy, are considered submissive by nature and their mission is to please the master. Men are otherwise dominant and have absolute power over a woman.

Brand and collar

As a part of whole philosophy, Gorean slave woman will undergo certain ritual, which means she should be branded and collared. A brand is a sign that is burned to her flesh and by this act she will realize her slavery. One of the most common brand marks is "kef" letter that is usually placed on the outer left thigh. This is not merely a physical act to mark the ownership of the master but the ritual that has deep psychological meaning. The collar is put to kajira to indicate her master.

Sexual service

Gorean slave is always available to servitude the master for sexual purpose, but the concept doesn't imply forced sexual act or sadism. Kajira comes in touch with her femininity by the means of slavery. However, that doesn't mean sexual inhibition, as her natural need for submissive urges her to find gratification from being used.

Kajira etiquette

Gorean slave woman won't call herself in the first person and her name will be written with the lowercase letters. She will always ask for permission and beg forgiveness in case she makes a mistake. There is no room for any arguments from Gorean slave side.

Though Kajira is expected to serve for sexual use, the Master will usually demand other skills, like keeping the household, being able to communicate intelligently, play musical instrument, dance, sing, dress in a manner so that to appeal to master's tastes.

Kajira is supposed to wear specific outfit to give her Master's aesthetic pleasure. One can identify Kajira by such things as piercing of the ear, or the chains worn in certain arrangement, slave bells, slave rag or bina beads(wooden or glass jewelry). All these accessories and dress are not owned by Kajira and can be taken away. Very often she will wear nothing at all so that she is always available to her master. But if master wants to see his slave looking more interesting he can order her to dress in certain way.

Kajira has absolutely no rights: she can be sold, her name can be changed, she can be starved or punished and her servitude is the only meaning of her life. If any inappropriate emotions arise, they should be subdued to perfect the slavery.

I first want to say, that "Anyone" whom judges needs to take a look at themselves. Do you think the world you live in is not a "created" version of reality. Sure as you think you have the right to "Judge" and admonish someone, you in turn will turn and be angered by someone judging you. This is at best a vague description of what "Gorean" is. For those that know, they embrace it with their heart & soul. For those that don't....and criticize what they don't understand or fathom, shame on you. people are too narrow minded to appreciate fully what other endeavors can bring to a persons life.
As a Gorean Master, I say do not judge me until you know what it is you are judging. Before you can do that, have you all you affairs in order? I doubt it. Most people live in a world of chaos and disorder, let alone "Discipline". One has to have all the facts, knowledge and evidence beyond a shadow of a doubt before they can open their mouth.
Harmony is achieved through humbleness.

Kajira you are beautiful. We are beautiful, submissive and content. That is why we are so desired and are a curiousity to all.

In response to commenter Sweet Daddy. You seem to be laboring under the misapprehension that the slaves are forced into their slavery against their will but this is not the case at all. They know their desire, they know their place and are proud to serve. You say that we should "allow her to be the supreme expression and symbol of Love and Beauty" which is indeed exactly what happens when the kajira embraces her deep slavery to the Master.

It is not the life for you Sweet Daddy, as it may not be for many others, and this is well however do not presume to decide for others how those fully informed consenting adults should live. They are happy, and I wish you the same.

You people realize that the Gor books were fiction, I hope.

Gor is a science fiction construct. The attempt to reproduce its terms in a real relationship is as childish and immature as pretending to be a Klingon outside of a Trekkie convention. The idea of enslaving a woman rather than allowing her to be the supreme expression and symbol of Love and Beauty is revolting. The need to enslave a woman is indicative of a rupture or crippled ego that presents a danger to everyone around it. Goreans---that is, those among us in reality who believe themselves to be practitioners of the Gore terms---deserve no less than the most extreme rejection by society, a rejection that should be expressed in punishment of excruciating degree.
Gor does not teach anyone how to love a woman, but how to love one's own crippled, damaged, and immature ego. Compare the elevation of Beatrice, in Dante's Divine Comedy, to the subjection and submission of any kajira in Gore and the difference is clear. If John Norman lived ten thousand years and could write a thousand words every day about Gore, his entire output would be worth immensely less than even one line of the Divine Comedy.

I must say that this article is slightly misplaced... it seems that it highlights aspects of what is refered to as "Online Gor" without sighting the references in the books. I do have one statement to make as to that though. "As a rule a Master isn't always right, but Master is NEVER wrong." So point being... whether called Gor or anything else this is the rule to live by. Gorean kajira are well trained. I know... I train them as I was trained. Master's will is law and that is as it should be.

I find this article to be lacking accurate information. Its a very short essay of what the idea of being a kajira might be in the books, but even that I find semi-inaccurate.

There are more than pleasure slaves that are female. some are used for plowing fields, sewing, scribe/secreterial type work. Some are owned by free woman and not used sexually.

Over-all its not one of the better articles on gorean slavery I have read.

I am not Gorian, however I train the high protocol, and wish to say that I am always impressed by the high level of decorum whenever I encounter one of these kajira.

I have yet to see or hear one of them bring public shame to the Master which cannot be as readily said for low, mid, or even high protocol non Gorian slaves.

this girl actually see's several misconceptions in this articale. being that she is a white silk tower slave she is not opened nor available for sexual service until such time that her Mistress deems her to be so. There is a much deeper and more exhaustive side to being kajira (or bondsmaid if the tradition Y/you follow is that of the northern cities such as this girls Mistress does). we slaves find freedom from within the chains that bind us and would not be happy outside of them. Do not think that we are lost or confused or abused, for this is not the case. Only a cruel and dispicable person would wish to bring harm to His or Her property, let alone to property that loves Them so completely. So please, if Y/you read this discription of we kajira know that it is far from the whole truth and there is so much more to be found if only Y/you are brave enough to venture into the unknown. -hafsa, restricted white silk bondsmaid-

Sorry for whatever your cousin chose to "ruin their life" but why blame others? Is not your cousin of sound mind to decide her own destiny? Another example of someone else is always responsible for problems in one's life...never the one who is responsible.....

It is common in online Gorean role play, but less so in real life situations since practicing Gorean-type "culture" is not practical in the real world. Even the use of third person speech deviates from the fantasy books upon which "Gorean culture" is based.

While the third person speech may be pleasing to her Master/Mistress, it is not what keeps her in a submissive/slave state of mind. Postive reinforcement through attentive and caring guidance is what will condition her to stay in such a state.

A constant state of subspace is not attainable or desireable since the person in such a state is typically unable to function normally.

It's a common practice, not always a misconception because it's common even among those who know it's not common in Gorean culture. By referring to herself only in third person the slave subsumes identity into what she really is -- a slave. This ego reduction contributes to deeper and more intense subspace, and maintains the kajira conditioning that ideally should keep a slave in a steady state of subspace to some degree.

"These are mainly women" - All kajira are women. Male slaves are called kajirus, thralls or simply, slave.

"Gorean slave woman won't call herself in the first person and her name will be written with the lowercase letters." - This is a common misconception online and not as it is portrayed in the books from which this is taken.
